I just don’t understand why Bass don’t get rid of the Elite guys that always do horrible in the events. Bc there is a lot of young guns coming up that would be hammers for the elites.
You have to follow your heart and do what you like and think is best for you and family it’s just a career change people with other jobs do this all the time he will do good and congrats to Mr. Nixon also
I figure more are going to leave the BPT I watch it but it’s boring compared to the elite series or the MLF pro circuit 5fish for mat but the BPT is better than crap they show on tv now days

Going to say it again. Within a few years one of these circuits will cease to exist. Merger coming in the future. As a spectator watching MLF and BASS I have to say it is like watching a senior golf tourney or a corn hole match.
I’m gonna respectfully disagree Andrew. I’m not a tournament angler but I love the sport of fishing and go whenever I get the chance. My son’s a high school tournament angler and we both love the MLF. As a fan, the previous MLF format was so much more enjoyable and engaging. I’m afraid that’s going to not be the case going forward. I’ve tried watching BASS but it fails to keep my attention and it isn’t for lack of hammers either. Its just too much like watching golf. I hope I’m wrong but I’d be willing to bet the MLF irrelevance begins right now. Fans will tune out. This was obviously a choice made by the anglers for the anglers not the fans. Jordan Lee & James Watson said it quite clearly.

Im saddened to hear Bobby leaving bpt. As being new to the fishing world, I really enjoy watching MLF cups and have gotten to know those guys. The bass master stuff is hard to be a spectator. I can't ever figure out how/when to watch it.

It’s the weigh ins mostly but bpt isn’t interesting a regular fisherman like myself can find a school of 2 pounders an catch them all

MLF tournaments lose all credibility with 40 different scales. There’s no way to be completely accurate across the board when you’re trying to weigh a 5 pound bass on the St Lawrence River in 4 foot waves. Ounces matter. Bobby Lane won Redcrest by just a few ounces, but did he really win? I just wonder if you took the scales that were weighing Wheelers fish or Connell’s fish would they weigh the same or would we have a different Redcrest champion. Accuracy is pretty important when there is $300k on the line
