You are 100% right fisherman are worse than a bunch of high school kids....love drama
Negative stories sell better than positive.
I LOVE how u started the video with your disclaimer !!! Lastly, a story about people that are already considered part of a hillbilly sport… now cheating and hurting fish…. It’s just too HOT to not be on cable news …. The elites love it. The general public has no interest in who won a fishing tournament unless they are a tournament fishing fan and someone who WATCHES tournaments or fishes themself. Bubba sport Andrew. We love it but it’s total bubba ego I can beat the other studs money sport. Not a general population thing not even close unfortunately. Best angle is huge help building homes or money raising for victims will get news.
I watched one or two videos about the walleye cheaters and didn’t watch anymore. Nearly every YouTuber I follow made a video on it and I didn’t watch any of them. I think a lot of the people that watched and shared the videos are not fans of fishing. I have had people ask me about it simply because they know I follow fishing. They do not fish or follow fishing. Some of them follow drama and some just thought it was something we could have a conversation about.
Spot on Andrew, the negative is news and humanity in general spread that negative news
While I get what you are saying Andrew, and I agree with your viewpoint
It will require a fundamental shift in the mentality of the masses to move off of the "if it bleeds, it leads"
As your buddy Todd once said
Everybody loves to watch the train wreck
Greetings from the BIG SKY. I always said hang 'em and get on with the legit shit.
Then turn the camera's off and handle in house , don't give them a news story
First I want to say that it was a relief that you went a different route than many of the other social media creators, with this topic. As a tournament angler who has been affected by the walleye cheaters, both financially by being knocked lower in the payouts and in the points races, I am disgusted by the bandwagon effect this mess has started. I’ve seen post after post and video after video showing this topic for some creators benefit. Please know I’m a big fan of your channel and always check the standings after your tournaments and I am in no way trying to single you out. You went a different way with it and promoting positivity is something we all need to do more of.
This whole situation has gotten a ton of attention, all of it deserved but the creators jumping on the band wagon for clicks has really soured me toward quite a few of them. Please keep up with the positivity and great content.
Great video,it's has got really old seeing those 2 everywhere, and noone has talked about who really won the tourney,I haven't shared any video with them in it and want they ate a disgrace to the sport of tournament fishing, but it really has shed light on the whole cheating deal, wouldn't surprise me if tournaments eventually never have weigh ins,it will be 5 fish weighed in on the boat,in big events that is
I agree with what you said! Unfortunately in our current time, controversy is what sales! If it wasn’t from the negativity of the story you mentioned I don’t think we would have heard of all the good that that fishing community has done and are doing for their local community. As much as fishing is a large part of a lot of peoples lives I still think tournament fishing is a small demographic. Figure that positive change out and I think we would all benefit. Fisherman/woman or not!
Good job Andrew. Just a quick note we have some cheaters in our club, Rocky bottom bass club of North Carolina. We beat the shit out of them. They got the message loud and clear. if those Walleye anglers were down here in North Carolina that would be able to fish because arms will be broken. I Hate cheaters hate liars. It makes it tough for the rest of us who are trying to do the right thing. I love fishing I love competitive fishing. I’m with you the anglers how win these tournaments the correct way should be getting the spotlight! !!!!
There are more stories on crime then good things. How often to you hear someone who saved their life with the use of a firearm? It is the world we live in.
Can We Please Move On These Guys Want Everyone To Talk About Them There Both Useless Pathetic Individuals PERIOD..
Dog bites man is not news. will always be this way. I will be encouraged by the fishing industry when I see BASS publish the name of a FLW winner in their magazine of FLW credit a BASS winner on their TV broadcast.
I can tell you what the answer to your question is, but you're probably not going to like it.
Your opinion actually matters more than a guy like me. I don't fish tournaments anymore, but, when I did I tried to make sure that I followed every rule because I would want every other angler to do the same for me and the integrity of the event. I wish I did have an answer, but as long as women, popularity, or $ is on the line, stupid and dishonest dudes are going to be hanging around looking for an advantage..
The only thing I have been asked by the non fishing community for the last couple of weeks is about cheating . It will make you nuts.
In all facets of life whether you are a politician, teacher, policeman or any other profession the stories with a negative slant always get the publicity.
