This is the Horwin Senmenti X Electric Motorcycle. This electric motorcycle has a top speed of 125 miles an hour and 248 miles of range. The Horwin Senmenti X Electric Motorcycle is a prototype and is not currently in production, but they are taking it to electric bike and motorcycle shows to generate interest. Horwin è il marchio che nasce da una collaborazione tra due gruppi imprenditoriali: le famiglie Zhou WEI (Cina) e Heinzl (Austria). Ha l’obiettivo di creare veicoli elettrici destinati principalmente ai mercati europei. Le moto e gli scooter Horwin sono progettati internamente dall’R&D di Kammersdorf in Austria e costruiti in Cina, nella sede produttiva aziendale. Da questo connubio nasce anche EK3, scooter elettrico dalle linee arrotondate e dal design piacevole, vagamente retrò. È dotato di un'infinità di sistemi ad alta tecnologia: frenata combinata CBS, luci a LED, funzione di ritardo nello spegnimento delle luci, keyless go, display touch-start, cruise control, retromarcia e sistema di allarme antifurto. Il motore elettrico, posizionato al centro dello scooter e abbinato a una trasmissione a catena, ha una potenza di 6,2 Kw che spinge l'EK3 fino alla velocità di 95 km/h e accelera fino a 60 km/h in sei secondi. L'erogazione della potenza è gestita dal sistema di controllo FOC (Field Oriented Control) che inoltre bilancia la potenza e il consumo di energia. Il sistema riconosce le condizioni di guida e controlla il motore in modo da ottenere una prestazione costante, ottimizzando il risparmio energetico. Tra le caratteristiche che più ci hanno colpito di questo scooter vi è di sicuro l'accelerazione: i 195 Nm di coppia si sentono tutti e al semaforo risulta davvero scattante, complice anche la risposta pronta del gas. Tre le modalità di guida che aiutano a gestire la potenza e limitare la velocità a 60, 80 e 95 km/h. Ma le prestazioni, si sa, in termini di autonomia si pagano. Horwin ha ovviato al problema installando sotto la sella un pacco batteria da 2,88 Wh che si compone di due batterie ricaricabili e rimovibili. Le celle agli ioni di litio sono le 18650 della Samsung. La durata della batteria è di 1.000 cicli di carica. La corrente di carica standard è di 10 A. Il tempo di carica di circa 4 ore, per un'autonomia dichiarata dal costruttore di circa 100 km. Nel nostro test, spremuto per bene nel traffico cittadino ed extraurbano, abbiamo percorso più di 80 km, utilizzando spesso anche il cruise control. La frenata è affidata al sistema combinato CBS (Combined Braking System) che distribuisce la forza frenante tra i dischi del freno anteriore e posteriore. L'EK3 è ricco di dotazioni tecnologiche come le luci a LED o la chiave-telecomando per il controllo remoto grazie alla quale è possibile e avviare, spegnere e immobilizzare lo scooter senza dover inserire la chiave. Ovviamente anche il sistema di antifurto può essere attivato e disattivato con la chiave-telecomando. Nel vano porta oggetti è presente una presa USB che permette la ricarica dello smartphone o di altri dispositivi. Ottima la stabilità fino a 50/60 km/h, solo discreta alle velocità superiori. Particolare e innovativo il display che oltre a mostrare tutte le informazioni (velocità attuale, cruise control, livello della batteria, autonomia, ecc...) ha una caratteristica originale: quando si fa scorrere il dito sulla striscia di touch-start nella parte inferiore del display, è possibile avviare il motore. L'EK3 è disponibile in quattro colori: bianco, nero, grigio e rosso e viene distribuito in esclusiva per il mercato italiano da Vent. Tested the Horwin CR6 and the Kobra Climber to get an idea of what the so called electrical future could bring us... I am convinced the electric motors deserve a chance... it would be a shame to keep burning fossil fuels (or hidrogen for that matter) in complex, wasteful, inneficient combustion engines when we could be using simple electric motors instead. But its a complex subject of course...
